Transforming an everyday public space into a vibrant destination for gathering and belonging.
City Point Pavillion
Page Studio collaborated with Brookfield Properties to create the City Point Pavilion, a temporary public installation that transforms the square into a vibrant destination for people, culture and community.
Comprising three colourful timber structures, the pavilion uses anamorphic graphics that shift and reveal themselves as visitors move through the space. Layered typography and bold geometric forms create changing perspectives, framing views while casting playful patterns of light and shadow.
Integrated planting softens the architectural forms, introducing greenery that contrasts with the surrounding hard urban environment and creates a more welcoming, human-centred setting. The vibrant colour palette provides an unexpected burst of energy within the cityscape, helping the pavilion stand out while inviting curiosity and exploration.
Designed around the idea of Belonging, the pavilion encourages people to pause, meet and interact. Bespoke seating, a central bandstand and flexible gathering spaces support a summer programme of live music, food markets, workshops and community events, transforming the public realm into an active and inclusive destination.
The project demonstrates how thoughtful temporary architecture, landscape and graphic design can work together to enrich everyday urban life—creating moments of connection, encouraging social interaction and fostering a stronger sense of place.
