We truly believe that at the heart of successful placemaking are people. Attracting, directing, and connecting are all key principles we adopt in every spatial design project.

Our design process is not always linear, but 3 core fundamental stages form the core of our work, each informing the next. Helping provide a more tangible, meaningful design approach and creative output.

In practice, this means working together with clients and fabrication partners at the beginning of a project to enable a true understanding of deliverables, touchpoints, and project aspirations.

Approach

Approach

1 – Immersion

A clear and focused design strategy is essential for strong spatial placemaking. With strategic reasoning at the heart of every project, I help analyse the best ways to serve your goals through brand identity, wayfinding and environmental graphics.

Dissecting the brief, visiting the site, analysing plans, and discussing possible pitfalls with stakeholders is a fundamental process before developing a compelling strategy that drives the intent and narrative of the project into existence.

2 – Design

The design phase is informed by the tailored project strategy, everyday inspiration, industry experiences, and insights. During the design phase, each concept is meticulously evaluated to ensure alignment with agreed-upon strategies, user journeys, and project goals.

The presented concepts are then evolved into preliminary and final designs, incorporating feedback to achieve an optimal result that is both inspiring and fully aligned with the project vision.

3 – Realisation

The success of a great concept is only as good as it’s implementation.

To guarantee that the quality of creative ideas and design strategy is seamlessly realised, production and installation are overseen at every stage from the meticulous specification at tender to the installation on site. To achieve this, we collaborate with a network of trusted partners, each specialising in specific applications or production methods.
