Reviving the true fabric of Royal Albert Dock

Royal Albert Dock

We’ve had the privilege of contributing to a truly remarkable project in collaboration with General Projects and Planit supporting their visionary masterplan to reimagine the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool.

The aim is to restore the authentic character of the Dock, which has gradually faded over time. Through thoughtful interventions, the masterplan seeks to create a more welcoming and accessible environment for visitors by reintroducing layers of contextual and textural storytelling.

This will be achieved through considered space planning, carefully curated native rewilding, wayfinding, and historical interpretation, fostering a holistic and meaningful space that invites locals, tourists, and wildlife to connect with the Dock’s rich history and natural beauty.

My role in this project focuses on delivering a comprehensive placemaking, wayfinding, and storytelling strategy that captures and conveys the unique past and future of the Royal Albert Dock across the entire site.

The journey continues through 2025
